Steine Bricks

Es begab sich aber zu der Zeit, dass ein Kollege und Freund mich, der ich zwei Jahrzehnte keine Lego-Veröffentlichungen mehr verfolgt hatte, auf alternative (Klemmbau-)Steinsets aufmerksam machte. Und etwa ein Jahr danach baute ich das da neu veröffentlichte Set der Dresdener Frauenkirche auf einer 32x32 Baseplate. Und ich habe überlegt, wie wohl ein Set mit ähnlichen Ausmaßen des Torraums im Cheyenne Mountain Complex oder in einer antiken Lantianischen Stadt aussehen würde. Aber es gab sie nicht. Und so entschloss ich mich zu versuchen, diese selbst zu erstellen und schließlich die Anleitungen dafür zu veröffentlichen.

And so it came to pass in those days that a colleague and friend of mine made me, who didn't follow Lego releases for two decades, aware of alternate brick sets. And about one year after this time I build the then newly released Dresden Church of our Lady brick set on a 32x32 baseplate. And I wondered what a brick set with similar dimensions of the Gaterooms of the Cheyenne Mountain Complex or an ancient Lantean City might look like. But there wasn't any. And so I decided to try to create such and finally release them instructions for everyone to build.

Äh… ja, genau… oder so ähnlich.

Erm… well, yeah… or so.

So geht die Einleitung meines Profils auf Rebrickable, wo ich meine alle MOC's veröffentliche. Ebenso haben viele andere dort auch ihre MOC's — u.a. wiederum zum Thema Stargate — publiziert und ein paar davon habe ich auch (verbessert und) gebaut. Und schließlich hat sich BlueBrixx 2023 die Lizenz von MGM/Amazon für Klemmbaustein-Sets zum Thema gesichert. Schau 'mer mal, was da noch kömmt.

Along these lines are the introduction of my Rebrickable profile, where I publish all my MOC's. Many others have released their own — Stargate-themed, amongst others — MOC's there as well and a couple of these I have (improved and) build. And ultimately in 2023 BlueBrixx aquired the license from MGM/Amazon for brick sets on this theme. Let's see, what's next. …

Natürlich ist die Welt der Steine nicht auf ein Thema beschränkt. Meine beliebtesten MOC's sind beispielsweise Bäume und ein karibischer bzw. tropischer Strand — mit sanften Steel-Drum-Klängen.

The world of bricks is not a single-topic one of course. My most popular MOC's for example are trees and a caribbean or tropical beach respectively — with gentle steel drum tunes.
